Insecurity in Rivers State: Senator Abe calls for synergy between State Govt and Security Agencies.
The Senator representing Rivers South
East Senatorial District, Senator Magnus Abe has condemned the pronouncement by
the State Governor to declare some individuals wanted, stressing that there
should be synergy between the State government and the security agencies in
tackling crime.
Senator Abe made the call during an
interactive session with newsmen in Port Harcourt in reaction to Governor
Nyesom Wike’s State Broadcast today,
On the issue of Don Wanny’s killing,
Senator Abe urged his fellow politicians to shun selfish ambitions and create a
peaceful environment free of destructive weapons.
The senator advocated unity and fair
play in the State despite political and religious difference to achieve a
common goal which is making the State a safe haven.
Senator Abe called on leaders of the
State to come together and see how peace could return to Rivers State.
Senator Abe said he was ready to work
with stakeholders to bring the present security situation in the state to an
end.
