WIKE/AMAECHI SECURITY CLASH: Rivers State Police Commissioner describes the clash as a mere traffic infracton



Rivers State Police Command has described the convoy clash between
the Executive Governor of Rivers State His Excellency Nyesom   Wike,   and  Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi  along Nkpogu  roundabout, Port Harcourt as coincidental and has no semblance of threat to life or intention to eliminate any person.


The Commissioner of Police Rivers State command, CP Zaki Ahmed who made this known in Port Harcourt insisted that the incident was a minor traffic infraction.

CP Ahmed while maintaining that the traffic clash was not premeditated stated that after the incident the Governor later proceeded to carry out a routine road inspection within the State, while the Minister attended the function that brought him to Port Harcourt.

He however stated that misconduct by any Policeman in the course of the incident will be thoroughly Investigated and appropriate disciplinary action taken against any person found wanting
