Sacked SGF and NIA Bosses should be prosecuted speedily - Osilem Emmanuel

President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged not to hesitate in prosecuting the sacked former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke.

A Public Affairs analyst, Chief Osilem Emmanuel who made the call while speaking with our correspondent in Port Harcourt, said prosecuting the sacked government officials would strengthen the fight against corruption and serve as deterrent to those scheming to defraud the country.

  

While commending President Buhari for the sack, Chief Emmanuel emphasized that the full scale of the law should be applied after thorough investigation into the activities of the sacked officials.

Chief Emmanuel, who advised against any lopsidedness in the fight against corruption in the country, further urged the President to apply the full wrath of the law on any corruption person irrespective of tribe or political affiliation.

The two government officials were sacked based on the report of a three man panel led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo that investigated them.
