Nigeria quiting importation of petroleum products in 2019 not feasible - PENGASSAN South South Boss

Chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria PENGASSAN, South South, South East Zone, Comrade Azubuike Azubuike says the commercialization of gas in 2018 and exiting importation of all petroleum products in 2019 as recently stated by the federal government cannot be achieved if issues of infrastructure and insecurity are not tackled.

Mr. Azubuike who stated this on a radio programme said at present the refineries were not working up to their installed capacities calling on government to quit regular infrastructural policies without implementation.

Commenting on the issue of making refineries work and bringing in the private sector, the PENGASSAN zonal Chairman said it could work but the indigenous companies should prioritize welfare of their workers.
