Courts should be decentralized for efficiency - PH based Human Rights lawyer




A Port Harcourt based Human Rights Lawyer, Mr. Higher King, has emphasized that Courts in the Country should be decentralized for effective service.

Mr. King who made this known while reacting to the approval of the constitution of the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee by the Nigerian Judicial Council said the idea cannot change anything from existing system of judiciary in the country.

The Human Rights Lawyer said cases are delayed due to insufficient courts in the geopolitical zones.

The Nigerian Judicial Council approved the constitution of the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee.
The Committee is to be headed by Justice Suleiman Galadima after former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, turned down the appointment
