Urge shift in focus to other natural resources will get Nigeria out of Economic doldrums – VC Rivers State University.

Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Professor Blessing Didia has advocated urgent exploitation of other natural resources that abound across the country to forestall economic doom in post oil regime.

Professor Didia made the call while playing host to a delegation of National Leadership of Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society in Port Harcourt.

Professor Didia said the University now has a department of geology and urged the body to assist the young department to thrive.

Earlier, the National President of the Society, Professor Silas Dada commended the Vice Chancellor and his team for quality leadership in the institution.

 Professor Dada told the Vice Chancellor to continue his good work for the growth and development of the institution.
