Fakorede says his men had nothing to do with the shooting at Rumuokparali in
Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State which led to the death of a
man

DSP Fakorede in an interview said the matter is
currently being investigated, He said the officers are from another unit and
they are being interrogated
The SARS boss insisted that his men are professional
in their conduct, urging the public to always crosscheck their facts.
Meanwhile 4 Operatives of the F SARS were attacked
and wounded, Wednesday, with their vehicles set ablaze at Rumuokparali
At the Police Headquarters in the State, SARS
Commander Akin Fakorede brought the Police Commissioner, Saying his men
restrained from shooting to avoid colossal damage
It is believed that the youth of the Community
attacked the SARS operatives without realizing that it was a different Unit of
Police that conducted the raid which allegedly killed Blacky early Wednesday
The Chief Security Officer of the Community in
question, George Onah has insisted that it was operatives of SARS who raided
the community and are responsible for the shooting that left one person dead
Mr. Omah who stated this while responding to the
denial by the state SARS Commander, said the denial did not come as a surprise
as it has been in his habit to dismiss such reports without carrying out proper
investigation
The CSO however said calm has returned to the
Community urging indigenes in the area to go about their legitimate businesses.
Governor Nyesom Wike has expressed worry that the
Police High Command was yet to address all issues raised about operatives of F
SARS in the State.
The Governor made this known when participants of
Course 26 of the National Defense College Abuja paid him a Courtesy call at
Government House Port Harcourt.
