Physical Challenged students in Rivers State protesting against lack of empowerment
Association of physically challenged students,
Rivers state chapter yesterday, staged a peaceful protest at Total E and P
Company trans-Amadi Port Harcourt Rivers state to demand that they be
empowered.
Secretary of the association Mr. Barrigbebaa Kuenee
who spoke to newmen decried the lack of response to an
earlier letter written to the oil firm appealing that they be trained in
various skills.
Some of the protesters including Mr. Elechi Solomon
and Miss Queen Nna said their challenges cannot stop them from being productive.
Addressing the protesters, Community Relations
Manager of Total E and P Company Mr. Okechukwu Ogba assured the association of
a positive response from the company.
The protesters who came from different local
government areas across the state blocked the entrance of the multi –national
company.
