PDP Rivers State condemns award received by SARS Commander Rivers State CSP Akin Fakorede

Rivers State Chapter of the People democratic Party PDP has condemned the award given to the Commander of the Special Anti-Robbery squad in the state, CSP Akin Fakorede by the Niger delta bishops and ministers forum.

State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Samuel Nwanosike, Tuesday, said the award given to Fakorede was sponsored by politicians emphasizing that the Police chief does not deserve any award as he has been an instrument in the hands of the APC to cause mayhem to many residents of the state,

He said “It is highly unimaginable that a body like the Niger Delta Bishops and Ministers forum could bestow such an award upon someone like CSP Akin Fakorede who has been a tool of the APC led federal government, Frankly that award on him came at a time when the F SARS are doing more harm than good in Rivers state, we are all aware that the F SARS led by CSP Fakorede has always been in the news for negative and unprofessional conduct,

The PDP scribe also accused the Minister for Transportation Rt. Hon Chibuike Amaechi of sponsoring the award given the SARS commander in the state.

At the time of filing this report, The Niger Delta Bishops and ministers forum is yet to respond to these allegations.

The PDP in Rivers State and the SARS commander, CSP Akin Fakorede have always been in a frosty relationship dating back to the 2015 general election.
