Ojukaye Flag Amakri fails to appear in Court again in Port Harcourt

The trial of embattled former Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State Ojukaye Flag Amakri was again stalled as the Nigerian Police was unable to produce him in Court, Tuesday, in Port Harcourt to take his plea on some of the murder charges.

The court had ordered them to produce the APC stalwart to take a plea in the new Court the matter was assigned to, after the Chief Judge of the State Iyayi Laminkara withdrew from handling the case.

When the matter was raised in the new Court today, Justice J N  Akpoghunum fixed November 8th 2017 as a new date for Mr. Flag Amakri to appear before her to take his plea.
This is coming as council to the State Government Godwin Obla sought for extension of time to enable the Commissioner of Police produce Mr Ojukaye.
Mr Flag is standing trial on murder charges.
