IGP Idris orders all illegal deployments of Mobile Police to VIPs be reversed.

Inspector General of Police, IGP; Ibrahim Idis has given State Police Commissioners a week ultimatum to reverse all illegal deployment of Mobile Police Personnel as Special Protection Units attached to VIPs.

The Police Chief who gave the directive during his monthly Conference with States and Zonal Heads of the Police, also said that additional Mobile Units will be deployed to Anambra State for the November eighteen Governorship election.

The IG also used the occasion to present cheques for death benefits to over one thousand families of deceased officers and men who died in active service between two thousand and four and two thousand and ten.
