FLOODING: Residents of Rivers State Government Housing Estate decry state of infrastructure dilapidation
Residents of Rivers
State Government Housing Estate, School-To-Land, Iriebe, Rivers State have
decried the level of dilapidation and flooding in the estate, appealing to the
State Government to come to their aid.
The residents
including the Chairman and the PRO of the Association of Residents in the
Estate, Mr. Fred Ogbari and Mr. Frederick Elueze and Mrs. Patience Brown, who
were guests on News and Current Affairs Programme, Matters of the Moment, mentioned lack of roads and drainages as some causes of the
severe flooding in the area.
On his part, Another
flood victim, Chief Osodu Onyedimara residing at Rehoboth Close along NTA/Apara
Link Road lamented the health issues and destructions by flooding this year,
appealing to the state government to investigate their complaint.
Some callers on the
programme including Mr. Phillip Enyia from Ogologo in Rumuigbo Mr. Jonnie Jacks
from Rumuolimeni also solicited government’s attention in their areas.
All the participants
implored other government agencies to also come to their aid.
