Federal Government to forfeit bank accounts without Bank Verification Number,
BVN in the country.
Mr. Egwu who spoke in an interview with THE EMERALD HUB in Port
Harcourt said the rule of law should be followed irrespective of social status
in the society.

synergy with security agencies to investigate account holders without BVN.

to avoid delay and get verified by their banks.
The Federal Government had announced fourteen days deadline for
account holders that have not been verified to either get verified or risked
having their accounts forfeited.

secretaries and legal teams of nineteen Deposit Money Banks in the country will
tomorrow hold an emergency meeting to fashion out modalities to comply with a

banks to disclose details of all such accounts, their owners and their proceeds
in their affidavit of compliance deposed to by their chief compliance officers.
