Disruption of PANDEF Assembly Worrisome - Chief Sera-Igbe
The disruption of Pan Niger Delta Forum,
PANDEF Assembly has continued to generate reactions.
One of the leaders of PANDEF Chief Anabs
Sera-Igbe while expressing disapproval of what transpired at the venue of the
Assembly said that the leaders of the group handled the challenge with maturity
despite the seeming provocation.
Chief Sera-Igbe stated that what was more
worrisome was that delegates across Niger Delta region who came from far places
were denied the opportunity to meet and interact with the leaders of the group.
In the same vein the National representative
Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas, HOSTCOM, Dr. Osasu Ekpe who
was not happy at the manner in which they were blocked from the venue,
described the incident as an undemocratic.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer Rivers State
Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni said that there was
an intelligent report of attack at the venue of the meeting as such, the
command had to put up preventive
measures.
