Community returns Items forcefully taken from SARS by Angry youths.

Elders of Rumuokparali community have returned the ammunitions and other items taken from some operatives of The Special Anti- Robbery SARS who were attacked by some angry youths on Wednesday.

The items were handed over to the DPO of Ozuoba Police Station Babatunde Jimoh.

The Chief Security Officer of the Community Mr Omah said the items were returned to the community to prove that the youths were not criminal minded.

He however appealed to the Police authority regulate the activities of the officers.

The items handed over to the Police included an Ak 47 rifle, 6 magazines, a SARS jacket and face cap.

Some SARS operatives on routine patrol in the community were, Wednesday, attacked in the community, by angry youth and seriously wounded, unbeknownst to them that the previous night, a different unit of the Police had raided and killed a certain man named Blackie.

The Commander of the Special Anti- Robbery squad SARS in Rivers Sate has insisted it was not operatives under his Unit who carried out the raid that led to the death of Blackie.
